I was wondering if anyone has ever come across this issue and know a solution.

I have a windows 10 machine that has IE installed x86 and RemoteApp's for Word,Excel and Powerpoint.

When a user connects to our sharepoint site and tries to open a document through IE it doesn't allow them to open.

I have narrowed this down to add-on "Sharepoint OpenDocument Class" and i was wondering if there is any way to get this working.

Disabling the add-on allows users to download the file and open that way(workaround)

I have tried to only install the Sharepoint part of office 2016 to see if there are any specific dependencies for the Add-on but this didn't resolve the issue.

Which version of IE are you using? Try to click F12 in IE, change mode to IE previous mode such as IE 9 or IE 8 and check if it works fine.

Make sure if the user has right permission to open the document. Also test with another user.

Try to run in compatibility mode of IE and check if this user can open the docuemnt. If you're using 64-bit version of IE, try to use the 32-bit version. Also try to add your site URL to the list of trusted sites in IE settings.

Try to test in another browser like Chrome and Firefox. 

清理浏览器的缓存和Cookie，然后进行测试.

Clean your browser Cache and Cookies, then have a test.
