I recently purchased Titanfall 2 and the installation fails every single time because of an issue with VC++ 2012.

I've restarted the computer multiple times to no avail, tried downloading the installer manually from Windows and running as administrator, etc. Nothing works at all.  I have >100 games installed on my computer through multiple different services (Steam, Origin, UPlay, etc.) and I've never seen this error message before.  I have no idea what to do, can someone please help?  I see that other users on this forum are experiencing the exact same issue but I haven't found a solution that works for me yet.
