I download WDK ISO image file. Attempted to burn it on CD/DVD with the same invariable result - image.ngr file. I can not open it, can not read it, can not do anything with it at all. Search all the resources I can think of but did bot find a straight answer. I don't feel like downloading any additional SW for I trust there got to be a simple, Microsoft,  way to see the files. Please help. Thank you.

mmm, if you burn an iso you should get files on a CD/DVD, not a file on your disk. Contact the producer of the CD burning software if you need help burning on CD. Alternatively you can extract the CD's content using an archive software like winrar/7zip, however their support for ISO is limited.
