We have OMS enabled but i can't figure out where to look for logs for authentication type (sms, app,)in OMS for a specific user.

As the Azure AD sign-ins reports provide you with information about the usage of managed applications and user sign-in activities, which includes information about multi-factor authentication (MFA) usage and as you have stated that you have enabled the OMS so i assume you have enabled that by following instructions provided here. To look and analyze AAD Activity Logs (sign-in logs in your case) with Log Analytics, please follow the instructions provided here.
