My web part has filtering enabled on some of the headers. It originally worked fine, showing all of the options in the drop down list. However, it now only opens the filter pane to show say "working on it" and then "open menu".

I have other web parts using the same data source and they work fine. The only thing I can put my finger on is that the other web parts are pre-filtered, so they have fewer results. When I filter the list to return fewer entries, it works again. There are just over 1000 documents across the document libraries that make the data source. Surely they can handle more if the document libraries can hold up to 5000 each?

It seems that when the number of items exceed 500, there will be performance issue that filter cannot works well.

尝试在URL后面添加?Filter = 1"作为一种解决方法，并检查其是否有效.

Try to add "?Filter=1" behind the URL as a workaround and check it works.
