Hello,

I have an issue on my SharePoint 2013 Server Farm.

When users are synchronizing some OneNote that are present on some site collection, the iis pool corresponding to the Web App is crashing and stopping.

For the moment, I have a script that is checking the availability of the application pool and when it is stopped, it restarts the pool automatically on a schedule.

The behavior is always the same: I have many 5002 warning of WAS Source (10 in less than 5 minutes) and due to the "Rapid Fail Start" parameter, the pool is stopped and there is a 5002 event.

I have checked the ULS and each time I have the issue, a user is synchronizing or working on a OneNote.

I have not the issue with all onenote hosted on my farm but some of them have many sections or many pages or many versions in it.

I have discussed with the users and they are trying to simplify their OneNote.
I mean by simplify: Reduce the number of sections, the number of pages and clean the versions and the recycle bin.
But with no success so far.

The reason why, I haven't deactivated the "Rapid Fail Start" is that the Application Pool is very slow before crashing and the memory allocated to the Pool is increasing a lot (more than 2GB).
So it's less impactful to let it stop and restart it properly.

For information, i am on Prem on a 2013 SharePoint Server Farm with the 2016 June CU.
The OneNote Version is 2016.

Any help on this topic is appreciated.
