I am unable to get OneNote Book that is hosted on a SharePoint Server to sync. When I make edits to the OneNote Book, the edits are not there when I check the document after closing OneNote. I Open it with OneNote and the edits saved to my cached version. When I view the sync status, I see this error message:  We're Sorry, something went wrong during sync. We'll try again later. (Error code: 0xE40203EB)

Please check if you have configured library to require the documents to be checked out before they can be edited. Check whether the library has required properties.

Try the following steps, then check if the sync works:

1. Turn off Required Check-in/Check-out in the SharePoint Document Library.

2. Turn off Minor Versions in the SharePoint Document Library.

3. Turn off Required Properties in the SharePoint Document Library.
