As hinted at by the title, I'm having some issues with this particular version of the redist. I tried to install the game "Smite" last night, and upon running the Unreal Engine 3 prereq file, it hung up at the Visual C++ redist step and the computer restarted by itself. I tried 3 more times and this happened all 3 tries.

Upon looking through my Programs and Features menu, I saw that this package was already installed but upon trying to uninstall it or repair it via Control Panel -> Programs and Features, I got met with an error message stating that the uninstall failed and a reboot was required. I restarted the PC and went to retry the uninstall and found that it was missing from Programs and Features. I downloaded the .exe installer for the x64 version from the Microsoft website but upon trying to install it, I was met with the error "0x8007015e - No action was taken as a system reboot is required"
