I have a software developed in VB3 and, in a sudden way, a ComboBox configured as a drop down list, when populated from a Form Load procedure, began introducing additional items with strange characters, causing wrong selected lines.  It is happening in my Toshiba notebook only and not in other computers.  After the form is loaded, if the ComboBox is re-populated, it works fine, but when the form is loaded the problem apears again.  The problem occur with any other ComboBox in the VB3 environment and with the executable file.  I have already recovered the operating system from my Toshiba original CD and made the automatic updates from Microsoft, but the problem persists.  I have this notebook since 2008 and it never happened before.  I have projects developed in VB6 as well, but I don't think it is a interaction between the two platforms.  What could be the reason for such a strange behavior?
