few days. But, due to travelling, it won't do me much good on my desktop, which is why I really need it to work on my laptop. Based on what I've learned from my forum searches, I get the feeling it has something to do with a missing/conflicting pre-requisite
program that Visual Studio needs to run. But since I find Microsoft's system of requiring several different .NET Frameworks, Visual C++ redistributables, updates, etc. very confusing (although I'm sure there is a good reason for it) I can really
only guess. The only other info that might be helpful is this is the first time I've tried installing it on this computer (no previous versions, betas, etc.) and Windows Update says everything is up-to-date. Also, during the install process, I never receive
any error messages or anything to suggest it did not install successfully. Does anyone have any suggestions?
