I know we're probably screwed but thought I'd ask just in case.  SSE was uninstalled by accident, no back ups were ever done(I know I know).  Is there a way to recover the DB?  If so please point me in the right direction.  I can still see all the mdf and ldf files in the Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\Data\MSSQL.3\MSSQL\Data directory.  This is Sharepoint 2007

If you still have the .mdf and .ldf files, you should be able to attach those files to a new database instance. Then you will need to attach them as content databases in SharePoint again using either Central Admin or stsadm.
