I'm using SharePoint Designer 2010 (SPD10) and in the process of creating a custom new form, I accidentally deleted the default SharePoint list form.   After reading some posts, I went into SPD10 and navigated to my list.   From there I went to the Summary Page, Forms section and clicked on New Form. Under "Type of Form" to create, I selected the New Item form. The only content type was "Item". I clicked OK. However this form does not show up in a pop up- style box.

I navigated through the All Files-Lists-<Name of my List>, and I can see the default OOB SP list form.   So I didn't really delete it, but I'm not sure how to restore that.

I've googled but results point to difference SP versions or include copying code from a good list form web part (i.e. open the default form) and then pasting into a newform and changing the List GUIDs.

How did you delete the default list form accidentally?

在SharePoint Designer中创建新的自定义新表单时，可以勾选设置为所选类型的默认表单"，然后检查是否有新的NewForm.aspx页.

When you create a new custom new form in SharePoint Designer, you can tick "set as default for the selected type", then check if there is a new NewForm.aspx page.

Besides, whether you view the default NewForm.apsx page though All Files->Lists/listname , can you access the default newform.aspx page though typing the URL in the browser address bar?
