in the wellcome page of a document set, a list of the contents of the documentset appears. 

This view does not include the option of filters that are included in the documentation libraries, for example.

Do you know if there is a way to include the filter panel?

If you have categorized documents using "Managed Metadata" column, you can filter out the documents based on it (see screen shot below).
