Fairly new to SP2013 so patience is very much appreciated.

We have a site that uses a document set. We have used a page field filter web part on the document set Welcome page to display the tasks for each subgroup in the document set, and it works fine. However, we cannot add a new task to the task list from the welcome page. When attempted we get the following error:

I do not have access to these logs and requesting them is not going to work in this instance. Standard permissions apply (set up standard groups for the site - owners, members, visitors). The URLs for the new task forms from the task list and from the document set task list are pretty different. Have added the workflows task form to the custom content types (the doc set content type is set up there as well). Is there anything else I can do here, short of creating a custom workflow?

Hi Kelly- if I understand correctly, you have a filter web part on the welcome page, but not the actual task list? If so, you can either add the physical list or a link to the new item from the physical list.
