I have developed a test website and put in IIS.
In IIS the website "Test" used to show its local path as "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Test". - but now shows as "\Test".  The field is greyed out, and the Browse button does not display.  There is no way to change this through the dialog.

How to correct this probem?

Hi,

As per my understanding you have copied your test app into the wwwroot folder. By doing so IIS treats that as directory over default websites folder.

If you wish to treat your test app as web site and wish to change the location of "Test" website then please follow steps given below.

1. Create a virtual Folder in IIS.
    -> right click "Default Web Site" select "New" and you could see "Virtual Directory" menu item there.
2. Wizard will open; click Next.
3. It will ask for alias, GIVE HERE DUMMY NAME FOR YOUR TEST WEB SITE. e.g. "TestWebApp"
4. It will ask to locate the website CONTENTS. NOW HERE YOU MAY CHANGE/SET THE LOCATION OF YOUR WEB SITE.
5. Click Next and Finish the wizard.

NOW YOU MAY OPEN YOUR TEST WEBSITE PROPERTIES IN THE IIS BY SELECTING THE WEBSITE AND RIGHT CLICKING ON IT.

you should see the location is editable this time.
