We had a power outage the other day and the computer was turned on when it went out.  When the power came on and we started the computer it seemed to be normal and after the windows logo it took us to a black screen with different start options, safe mode, normal, or last successful settings.  No matter which one we choose it just takes us back to the same black screen with the same options.  When the power went out my daughter was playing a plug in usb game on the computer and I'm not sure if this has something to do with our problem.  I do not have a windows xp cd as our computer came with it installed already.  I do have a recovery cd but am afraid to use it as we have a lot of pictures and documents that I need back.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We have an EMachine T5010 with windows xp home edition.  Thanks in advance.
