Hi,

I would like to store up to 2Tb of docs in a 2013 on-premise SharePoint site. Some are big like videos, some are small like pdf.

this 200Gb limit is has Supported limit type (Software boundaries and limits for SharePoint 2013), i.e. MS recommends to not exceed it, but Sharepoint will work even if database size will exceed this size. But of course it is better to follow recommendations anyway.

If you will enable RBS - content database will contain only links on the files, not files content themselves. This links will take less than 200Gb, so I would recommend you to try exactly this option.
