I have an alert setup for average response time being > 0.5 seconds over a period of 5 minutes.

This alert occasionally triggers at random times when all the metrics indicate it didn't happen - eg. I received an alert today, triggered at 1:29 pm, and the graph of average response time below shows that this didn't happen! (Nothing goes above 300ms)

This seems to happen randomly over a period of a few days - all of which look incorrect - and then I don't get any for a few more days.

I've seen a couple of queries from other people who, on the face of it, may be seeing the same issue. Can somebody please tell me what's going on?
