I am facing a weird issue related to couple users getting removed automatically from SharePoint groups after some time interval. (Only happening in PROD sever and not on QA / INT server)

We have checked that there are no background jobs, workflows etc which are intended to do so. But still somehow some users are getting removed from the site groups.

Can you please help me suggesting some additional scenarios to check for this and get to the root cause of this? Is there a possibility of conflicts in settings related to the Active Directory?

Yes, If it is SharePoint Security Group, then any changes to the users (Removing from Security Group) in AD, will be removed from SharePoint too.
