I had a client report that when she made a comment in a news feed for a site they were not showing up in her news feed on her My Sites.

When I met with her so she could show me what was happening she added a comment to a site she was following. The comment was appearing in her news feed. She added a few more comments. Everything seemed to work fine.

The following Monday she reported her feeds were once again gone. There was a CU done on the server on Sunday so I had thought perhaps that was the issue.

I tried to recreate the issue in our development environment (one server) where I added some items in my news feed and then rebooted the server. My items remained.

The feeds from last week did not populate.

What CU did your customer install on her production environment?

Please check if she installed SP1 for her SharePoint farm. If not, please install it.

As you said, your environment could work well, please check the CUs of your farm and try to make your customer's environment has the same CUs with yours.

Note: as your customer is using a Production environment, you can suggest she install CUs on a Test environment then install them on her Production environment.
