Hello Everybody, 

Is it possible to place client side code on SharePoint Online to work with the SharePoint 2013 on prem search api?

The scenario,
we have a Hybrid Search environment. The Index is placed on SharePoint 2013 on premises. 

Now we plan to place some search driven applications on sharepoint online which works with the sharepoint 2013 provided search API. 

What is the best way to handle the authentication, we would prefer the client side way .

Which hybrid search did you configure? Outbound hybrid search or inbound hybrid search?

If it’s inbound, SharePoint online account should have permission to call search API.
