I know this is a SharePoint forum but it the only place I have seen discussions on ADFS. For anyone who works with it routinely I think this may be an easy issue.

We have setup an ADFS server to authenticate with a SAML 2.0 external site (ServiceNow), it was a bear just getting it to work in a limited fashion at this point. The problem is it does not appear to be passing authentication, anytime a user attempts to use ADFS to sign into the site they get a windows authentication pop-up.

I am pretty sure this is not normal. My understanding is ADFS passes the external site verifying the users identity and at that point the user should go straight in.
