So I have a document library where folks upload stuff to get reviewed or coordinate stuff.  A workflow is not an option.  Is there a good "how-to" guide on how to do daily reminders that they have something in the document library?  I do have a column where the item is either in "Progress" or is "Completed".  I'd like a daily reminder email sent out that says they have something pending in the library.  I've heard of looping workflows in SP 2010, but I have not seen a really good guide.
