Just looking to make sure I don't mess with an important existing list on Sharepoint. I have a Table called Orders, and as of right now, I believe I only have to add a new date field to that table to make some new forms work correctly. Do I simply un-link the list and then re-link the modified table to the existing list. Or is there something else I should be doing once I add the field. 

I should add that I have a split database. The backend was up[loaded to Sharepoint 2 years ago and no changes have been made since then to the backend structure. So I assume I would need to make the change to myu Backend Access copy and then...? Or can I use the front end and work on the table/linked list through the front end in order to add the new field? I don't want to do anything to destroy the data that's already in the sharepoint list and linked to my front end.

Per my testing results, we don’t need to un-link and re-link the table to the existing list. If we add a field to the linked table in the access, the field will be created in the list as well.
