Good day, i have an application which can upload and preview image files, e-presentations, word duments, excel files and pdf files. On my program i used Web Browser Control and I''m planning to change the component or upgrade the software. Aside from Web Browser Control, what else can I use to preview those file types? The only reason the Web Browser control can do it is because it''s actually a COM instance of Internet Explorer and you have the appropriate applications and viewers for those specific document types installed.

If you didn''t have Office installed on the machine, you wouldn''t be able to view Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ..., documents until you installed either Office or the Excel|Word|PowerPoint|... Viewer applications/controls.

There isn''t another control in the .NET Framework that can do this for the various document types you specified. You''d have to go with some 3rd party control, or suite of controls, to do it.
