Well, that depends.
If you have created any documents in the 2010 version, then there is very little chance that 2003 will be able to read them.

If the installation of 2003 don''t overwrite what files remains after 2010, you might get issues. (OriginalGriff''s consern about dokument compatibillity does not apply as there are a free and official MS Office .xdoc compatibillity add-on.

Byt why not have them both at the same time? I teach basic computer use to immigrants here in Norway, and I have the last 5 office packs install on my demonstration machine, (also have OpenOffice and LibreOffice), this is to show the people that have som knowladge of the older versions.

However having both 2010 and 2003 is not for you unistall it from "Control PanelPrograms\Programs and Features". If during 2003 installation you get a question about overwriting somthing choose "yes"/"OK".

You can do it, but its a pain in the guzuu. Once you install 2003 you won''t be able to go back to 2010 without it reinstalling every time. I have paid for both versions, and need to go back and forth because Smashwords only accepts 2007 or earlier. I like the 2010 features, but when I go back to 2007 or 2003 I have to start the whole install all over.
