I have a new hp desktop, windows 7 64 bit, that came with office 2010 starter.  I have no use for it as I have office 2003 which is more than enough for me.  The problem is when I click on a word icon the file opens in starter in order to open it in 2003 I have to go to the program and click open and find the file.  this is a hassle.

So I uninstalled it by using control panel uninstall, I uninstalled run to click, it was there twice and starter.  Got rid of the program but now all my word file have blank icons.  So I did a system restore back to where I was before the uninstall and now want to know how I can get rid of office starter and keep my word icons in place.
