I have a new computer and transferred Microsoft Sharepoint Workspace 2010.  The program is definitely there and accepts my key when i enter it, but it won’t open.  I tried repairing it, but got the following message:

Setup

Error 1303.  Setup cannot access the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Source Engine.  Verify that the folder exists in your system and you have sufficient permissions to update it.

The program appears in my list of programs.  When i try to open the program, it flashes up quickly but then won’t open.  Any ideas?

Hi,

This should be permission issue when you installing SharePoint Workspace 2010, you could check the what-does-this-msi-error-mean.

Try to follow below steps and check.

Right click on the following folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

On the Properties window, select the Security tab

Select SYSTEM(or add your current user)

Click edit

Give full permissions and click ok, click ok.
