I have managed to develop a biologically inspired real-time generic visual object recognition system that seem to have a near 100% recognition accuracy. I would love to publish a journal about this system. My question is how do i protect my ideas when i write a journal because this will be my first journal so i need some help?

I''am an Electronics Engineer by profession and started my research in vision on 8/8/2009 and managed to finish the research on 2/10/2012 and implemented the design in C++. I''am planning to start a company based on visual search and share my research findings with the scientific and Engineering communities. I would appreciate any help i can get from any one.

I would suggest that you need to make some headway on getting your idea started in terms of a company, before you start telling the world how it is done. I think it''s awesome you want to share what you''ve developed, but to do that before you''re out there selling it, is to create competition you don''t need.
