I am writing an app that will capture and store finger prints from the fingerprint reader device, but currently i can only use a particular device with the sdk provided by the manufacturer.

The question is, is there any generally finger print sdk, like the WIA for scanner and webcam, that can be used to capture finger print from different devices without install many sdk''s
