I want to create the installation file of my application that I have created. I know that I should click on Add, New Project, Setup and Deployment, and Setup Wizard. As I finish the wizard, I am able to install the application on my computer, but it does not create a desktop shortcut. I have figured out how to add a desktop shortcut, but when I double click on it to open my application, the application does not open and instead, a list of all the icons on my desktop appear. I have googled the solution, but all the solutions found are not very clear. I know I am doing something wrong, but any help would really be appreciated.

Check the shortcut target location in your setup project. My hunch is that you have created a shortcut to something other than the "Project Output" or executable that was intended.
