Uninstall and reinstall your scanner software.

Or (in Windows 7 at least) you could go to "Default Programs" in your start menu and select "Change Autoplay settings". At the bottom of that screen you find a section Devices where you can configure it as desired... otherwise follow Dave Kreskowiak''s advice.
