Why is that hard and lengthy to do it in Java? Is it easier or quicker to do it in MATLAB? Are you familiar (proficient) with both? If so, do it in the easiest language.

If you are familiar with MATLAB. If not, consider the learning curve. Given the learning curve, do you still think it will be quicker to do it in MATLAB?
