Thanks to Superman for his answer to my question about possible empty CLSID key attribute - if thats the right word. As I mentioned in my I am not a programmer. I am here for a little education.

I know just enough about the registry to be very nervous. This key I am taking about is among the file extensions in CLASSES_ROOT. Since it seems to be related to AV self-protection, I wonder if it''s bad to have a file extension do that. Some other security software I have flag it as unwanted or unneeded.

This empty key is a hot topic in an AV forum. I''m kind of following this topic for awhile before I try this AV. Maybe I''m not supposed to worry about this. Other people way smarter than me think it''s ''unorthodox'' in AV software to have this kind of empty key. I dunno. I just installed Windows on an old PC that I spent a lot of $ on. I don''t want to bork my box with a bad AV install.

Any info would be appreciated. If this is considered a waste of your time or just not allowable I understand. Maybe I''ll check out the Lounge before you kick me out:)
