I have followed the following steps to install sonar on Windows Server 2012 Downloaded sonarqube4.4 and extracted to C:Sonarqube

I believe you first ran windows-x86-64InstallNTService.bat successfully and then StartSonar.bat unsuccessfully (inverse order of what you describe).
