we are running sp online and we have a payment request list set up, an workflow also is built and created multiple tasks for each payment request item based on our biz logic.

Now our auditor want to click any of payment request list item and be able to find all tasks related to the selected payment request item.

What is the association between the Payment list and the Task List. For each Task, did the Payment ID get stored in the item?

Assuming that it did, you could build a page and connect two List View Web Parts by linking the ID. (If not, then you'll have to figure out how the Task relates to the Payment.)
