I configured one designer work flow on a list to trigger when ever item gets updated. Which works fine when user updates the list items manually.

但是有时我们会以编程方式更新相同的列表项，其中设计师的工作流程根本无法正常工作.即使其中一个列表项列已更新.

But some times we are updating the same list items programmatically, in which designer work flow is not working at all. Even though one of the list item column got updated.

when you update the column programmatically, you may use the admin account which can not trigger the workflow.
