I have a table in Sharepoint 2010 that users have submitted proposals into. I have a link to it in my Access 2010 database. The link works perfectly on my XP laptop but not on my Windows 7 desktop. I''ve set the trusted location. I have the current Windows ServicePack. Also, it looks as though I can connect to an internal Sharepoint site "http://sharepoint..." but the problem is occuring on the sharepoint site that can be accessed by external partners "http://connect... The error reads "Microsoft Access could not connect to the site you specified. Verify the address of the site or contact your site administrator." Again, this works fine on my XP.
Does anyone have any ideas on why this would be?

It is always preferable to place the error message as text within your posts. You''ll get a greater number of replies. In fact the attachment hadn''t have been available via Bytes I would not have seen it!
As it is, I can''t read what is in the picture (maybe the contacts are dry again :-) ) thus I''m unable to help you.
You may need to get your IT department involved in that they may not have (re)authorized you to the sharepoint for that terminal... also double check the path, seriously, happens more than you would imagine. :)
Next thing, is the database from another version of Access (like 2003?) somtimes the versions do not translate well and can cause issue. You may need to Open a new blank database and then import the old stuff into the new shell.

I did type the error message in my post but I guess I should have highlighted it. I created the database in Access 2010 have tried linking from a new database but I still get the same error.
I think I will talk to IT but I can already hear them saying it is an Access problem.

Fair point Jo Ann. I''ve just highlighted that in your post to make it easier to see. You did a good job including it, but some might be surprised to see it so far into the post. No criticism, just explaining how people read things sometimes ;-)
When speaking to IT, I suggest you prepare details of exactly how you are attempting the connection. Address; credentials; etc. With this to hand they will either be able to explain what you''re doing wrong (which is still possible even if it works in other situations), or they can take responsibility for the problem. They should not be able to say it''s simply an Access issue.
