Can someone tell me what the "blue arrow" is in this picture? (I drew a red
arrow pointing to it).

I hit a wrong key combo or something and it came up and won''t go away. I
couldn''t find anything in the help files. Also, it''s just a "per project"
thing. It doesn''t happen on my other projects.

If you look in the text files (vbproj or sln file) you may be able to find a reference to what it is and delete it from the XML..
