Hi all ,

I am trying to read barcode using an hid barcode scanner , i am using hid.dll and wanted to know if there is anyway to distinguish between a hid bar code scanner and keyboard  without pid and vid .

is there any way to know this before getting handle to the device ??.

Talk to the manufacturers: they know their device and the DLL better than we do.

As I said three days ago How to convert byte array from any hid scanner to a string[^] once it's been converted to Human Input you can't tell where the keystokes come from.
