so yesterday i asked a question about my computer and how to install visual basic,but since i found out my computer is to old to do that. i want to know while i get the right pc and tools so i can start really learning programing. how else can i start learning and preparing my self for the upcoming tasks. what im asking is whats the best way to start learning programing. how should i start. how did u guys start. remember i will not have a pc in front of me for the next couple of days.

I would suggest picking a language first and then getting a book on it. For example, C#. But also decide if you want to do Windows Applications or Web Pages. And search on Amazon.com for beginner books. Then go through the examples. Once you have a basic understanding then challenge yourself with a simple project. Perhaps a Windows Forms app that allows someone to type in data and you save it into a file, or something simple enough that you can accomplish.
