Hello,

I do not have access to SharePoint Designer, so I cannot create a newform page for each content type.  What I've done is to set up this:

https://server/sites/subsite/Lists/AcctMaint/NewForm.aspx?ContentTypeId=0x010074789294F057B64D9B74F7C6BF1373EC052263E95973AB7B504181934149F3AC3F74

This link (fake one above of course and fake content type).

Then, I want to redirect it with a Source=.  So the URL now looks like this:

https://server/sites/subsite/Lists/AcctMaint/NewForm.aspx?ContentTypeId=0x010074789294F057B64D9B74F7C6BF1373EC052263E95973AB7B504181934149F3AC3F74?Source=https%3a//server/sites/subsite/SitePages/MyPage.aspx

My problem is that the ContentTypeId and everything else makes the link longer than 255 characters.

Is there an alternative to ContentTypeID that is shorter but will still open the form associated with the content type?

How about use a relative URL in the Source param.
