My scenario is, we have given access to some external user, after every month / two months ( not periodically i many any time ) admin may need to renew or restrict user.

I am  planning for a custom solution where admin will be able to select the user then enable or disable his access( like Switch off/Switch on).

My Plan : Create a custom list with user(Single line of text, for Email ID) and Access(drop down, Enable/Disable) as  metadata columns , Develop a jsom script, where it will pop up a  page with message stating "you don't  have permission" if value of the Access is disabled in the list.Here i am planning to do script injection on master page.

in Sharepoint Online you may temporary prevent user from being able to login by setting "Sign-in blocked" for this user in O365 admin center - see Block a former employee's access to Office 365 data. But as documentation says it may take up to 24h these changes to take effect:
