I can not export the sql db from Azure.

DB is hosted in Azure and it's under 7 GB size. It's not used very much but still we had to increase the db's DTU to 50.

Strangely even a query to get count wouldn't execute.

If I have the same database running in local, I am not seeing any issues.

It would be helpful to understand what's happening with this database.

Please let me know if that database have been participating on replication (SQL Data Sync)?

Please scale up the tier of the database to speed up things? I have seen export of databases takings hours when is set to one of the lowest tiers.

Would you please try to export your database to a local drive using SqlPackage?

SqlPackage /Action:Export /SourceServerName:SampleSQLServer.sample.net,1433 /SourceDatabaseName:SampleDatabase /TargetFile:"F:\Temp\SampleDatabase.bacpac"
