Client has mapped the SharePoint 2010 library as a mapped drive. When a pdf file is opened from the drive it gives an error "There was an error opening this document. File open failed". But when the file is directly opened from SharePoint Library it opens with no issues. The PDF version used is Adobe Reader DC Ver. 19.10.20064.310990. The issue started occurring recently and pdf files were opening earlier with no issues. Any resolutions for this issue?

I've always been skeptical about mapping a SharePoint library: I've always seen too many issues for recommending SharePoint users using it, since it is just an abstraction created by means of WebDAV.
Sometimes this problem can be circumvented by adding the library under the Windows Explorer's Favorites rather than mapping it as a shared drive; also add the SharePoint site the document library is contained within to the Trusted Sites list in Internet Explorer.
