I've used the Speculation Control module in Powershell to verify successful mitigation for Spectre/Meltdown on servers running Server 2016 and Server 2012 R2.  I am attempting to verify the same on Windows Embedded 8 Standard, but the output of the command hasn't changed after following the same steps (BIOS update, OS patch applied, and registry keys added - including reboots):
