You need to be a student in any discipline to use Dreamspark (see http://www.dreamspark.com) which is no cost if you have a .edu email account.

If you are a professor or a student in science, technology, engineering, math or design, you should have access to MSDNAA.

In any case if you are a student you do not need to pay for Expression 1,2,3 as you can get it through dreamspark.

If you are not a student, but are design websites for business, you can use the Webspark to get some great low prices

In any case, any student discount requires that you be a student.
