It used to be quite simple to remove an MSDN subscription from a personal account accessed by one's Windows Live Id or a Work Account.  

I came to the [subscriptions] tab on the my.visualstudio.com/subscriptions page and can see my work MSDN subscription, but with no ability to delete/ disassociate it.  I remember in the old portal there was a link and it was an easy task to do.  In the my.visualstudio.com portal I find "Related Links" > Add alternate account that has no obvious bearing on removing an account.

With the problem of reclaiming OLV employee licenses I have to rely on a departing employee disassociating the company MSDN subscription on leaving or have to email '[e-mail]' to get it done and although efficient, takes much more time and effort to administrate than for a person to simply do it.

So, how does one do this in the my.visualstudio.com/subscriptions portal, i.e. un-link a subscription?

Dear Hendriekus,

With the new Visual Studio Subscription there is no option to Remove the subscription. In legacy MSDN portal managing the Subscription is handy. I still don't know why the MSDN team have come up with this idea. But I am pretty sure that they are still in the migration process and certainly will make changes based on the customer requirement and feedback. 

Obviously, MSDN team can't expect everyone to contact them via email in order to make changes to the subscription, which will make it quite impossible / frustrating to the MSDN users.
