I recently downloaded and installed the Silverlight 3 SDK and the Silverlight 3 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. In order to do so, I had to uninstall the Silverlight 2 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. I notice that when I create a new Silverlight Application using the template that comes with the Silverlight 3 Tools, and add a Web test site, the ASP test page doesn't have a Silverlight control. It has the same logic as the HTML test page (object tags etc). This didn't happen with Silverlight 2 Tools. The Silverlight 2 Tools for VS 2008 SP1 create the proper ASP.net Silverlight tag.
Also, I am unable to preview my XAML in the designer with the Silverlight 3 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. A preview tab doesn't even appear. This doesn't happen with the Silverlight 2 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. I can preview my XAML with Silverlight 2. I cannot preview my XAML with Silverlight 3.
So I uninstalled Silverlight 3 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. I reinstalled the Silverlight 2 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
Has anyone else noticed that the templates aren't working properly and that the preview designer doesn't appear in Visual Studio 2008 SP1? If MS can get these tools to work properly in VS 2008 SP1, I might give Silverlight 3 a shot, so I can evaluate some of the new features.

Well around a month back when i used silverlight 3. somewhat same deal happened with me. the vs 2008 sp1 designer went for a toss( ie i wasnt able to preview the xaml in designer) but the rest of it worked very well. If there is any solution would be happy to know.
