a few weeks ago I submitted my first App (created with Windows App Studio) for WP8.1 and Win8.1.

Because Windows App Studio has some problems by creating an WP8.1 App I recreated my App as a WP8.0 version which I upgraded to a WP8.1 App via Visual Studio.

Now I have to upload an appx file but there is no oportunity to create one. Visual Studio creates only xap if I try.

如果您正在创建WP 8.1 Runtime应用程序，则会有一个appx文件。如果您正在创建WP 8.1 Silverlight应用程序，您仍将获得XAP文件。

If you are creating WP 8.1 Runtime app, there will be an appx file. If you are creating WP 8.1 Silverlight app, you will still get XAP file.
